The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
We all have decisions each and every day that we must make - good or bad. Limitations may be time, money, health or simply a lack of imagination or sense of adventure.
And be one traveller, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
First impressions are not always correct, but oftentimes seem to dictate our decisions. This is not a bad thing - just human nature.
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
Opportunities missed - we all experience them. I guess the lesson to be learned here is to enjoy or take advantage of your decision and make the best of it!
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference
Start making a difference in your life; take the "road less traveled" and make your own way! Fall is a wonderful time to get out there and discover all of the beauty of Mother Nature, unplug for a little while and bond with your family and friends. You will return to your "every day life" refreshed and ready to tackle all that life has in store for you.
